The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs has released guidelines and deadline schedules for the fiscal year 2025-2026 fall cycle of arts and cultural grants programs available to Miami-Dade County based non-profit cultural groups. Miami-Dade County, in collaboration with the City of Miami, has taken swift action to stabilize and secure the Coconut Grove Playhouse site following a temporary pause in the project’s Phase 1 construction in the revitalization of this cherished cultural treasure. Immediate actions and protective measures to shore up the structure, ensure safety and preserve historic elements were put in place. The exterior of the building has been stabilized, inspected by the engineer, and reviewed by the City of Miami.
